Nothing more than enjoyment. That's if you can call having a numb arse and bad back from the bench seats enjoyment. Plus the fact that it sounds like a tank, has a max speed of around 50 mph, (know now why Vince mentioned LR), and one needs legs and arms like Samson to change gear. Ahhh, the pleasure. It does have Flexitor suspension on the front though.
Used to drive one of them back in the 60s when I was on landscaping. Them and Commer pickups.

Nice. Couple of quick brainpicks if I might, seeing as you've actually used and driven one. Are the wheels and nuts in need of frequent checking as one has heard, to make sure that they don't precede you down the road? Also, did you ever drive the diesel MKII? If so, can you remember the method for heating the glowplugs?

Definitely. Just saw her one day, parked at the backend of a s$$$$yard, and fell in love with the thing. She is/was in running order. Tax and MOT only ran out around March this year. She needs all the fuel lines replacing as they've gone brittle, and the glowplug circuitry needs attending to, but other than that, she should hopefully need little else to get her roadworthy again. If/when I can find somewhere cheap enough and big enough to store her and work on her, she's going to undergo a full sympathetic restoration.

I hope so. It'll probably end up taking a good few years, but she'll get back to full glory one day.

I definitely don't fall into that camp. Must admit though, it's amazing how many people practically break their necks trying to nosey through the hedge at it. Nosey sods.

Years??? don't look in too bad condition.

This is what it looks like from the front, btw.
Thats cool - loadsa character - be sure to keep me updated as ya fix it up. It's just different - never seen one of those before.
Bet the history behind that is a good read - I always wonder if they could talk - what stories would they have to tell.
This one would be quite lengthy. It's been altered no end from what it would have originally looked like. There is somewhere in the UK, apparently, that will tell you what spec the vehicle was originally produced to. Suppose it might be wothwhile trying to find out one day.
This is the entirety of the luxury inside, btw. Think the heater is out of a Landy.
