We have just signed!!!! I hope it will do some good but like some of you, it may not come to anything.

I petititioned to keep the "pound" but I think we will lose that battle very soon.

I also petitioned to keep us out of Europe - that too, I fear is doomed to failure.

I even petitioned to free the "Jordashes". Now that worked! But the one I signed to keep Deirdrie Barlow locked up didn't!

This will give you a template of a letter to put in your fax to your mp...

If enough people do this it might just make them sit up and listen.

                Anti's

I agree that we do have to do something because the Anti's just go from one crusade to another. Just look at the Hunting, us poor fisherfolk will be next, again something that's been done from the beginning of time. I saw on one programme one anti was prepared to go to prison to save a maggott's life!!!

                How sad is that.

A United Front is what's needed.

it's all the same people that want cheap supermarket food, but don't want to see farmers go out of business, don't want battery chickens, don't want lorries driving through their villages because they moved there from the city for a quiet life and pushed all the house prices up so the locals had to move out and the village shop closed, although they have an x5 they wouldn't dream of getting it dirty so neither should others cos it ruins the lanes that they walk down on a sunday afternoon to sabotage the phone mast (then wonder why their phones don't work) all that and they still have time to make sandwiches to take to the tree hugging road protesters and complain about the traffic problems on the way home...

(incidentally, count the gravel driveways in Aldermaston, where they recently campaigned and successfully banned gravel lorries from driving through the village!)

                      Well Said!
Just received a reply from Alun Michael MP - Well via My local MP and photocopied!

                      It read as follows.....

Dear Ben <----- Ben Bradshaw, my MP
Thank you for your letter of 16th February, enclosing a copy of one from [blank] about the consultation paper on the use of mechanically propelled vehicles on rights of way.

I have arranged for [blank] letter to be considered as a formal contribution to the consultation. We will analyse the responses the Department receives to the motorised use consultation paper, after the closing date of the consultation on 19 March. Once I have had a proper opportunity to consider all the comments made on the proposals, I intend to publish a formal response to the consultation.

                      Yours sincerely

                      Alun

Don't forget there's still more you can do, see the related organisations websites for more details.

                        Thanks again, The SaveOurByways Team.

Well just read today in one of the magazines that the BHS [British Horse Society] who have always supported 4x4 users in the past has now decided to do a u-turn and support the campaign to ban 4x4 vehicles on RUPPs

Doubt it, but they could charge you for the s**t the nag drops if you use it on your roses.
