  • It's not a surf, but it'll do

Since my surf is feeling a little under the weather, I've invested £150 in a Peugeot 405 estate as a temporary run around. It's got tax and MOT valid until Jan 2008 too. Even considered joining another forum too http://clubpeugeotuk.proboards36.com/index.cgi

Nope 2ltr 8 valve petrol. Have joined the UK Peugeot owners now too, need some advice on identifying a squeaking noise.

Its the mice feasting on the cheese left over by the French dudes when they were building it - I say building it, I mean gluing it together....

Great deal though!! I had a 406 for a while and it was great, apart from stalling all the time (it was an auto) and the lights would go off when they felt like it - but comfy on long journeys and barely used fuel....
Too old to care, young enough to remember

It squeaks when only turning left, and occasionally when stopped. Apart from that I'm ok with the other knocks and noises it makes.

Just turn right all the time then!
If you need to turn left you'll have to reverse.

I was going to solve the problem by turning the radio up louder. There's a fault with that too, as it keeps forgetting what I've tuned it into as soon as I turn the engine off.
