  • Fuel Filter?

    Hi,
My 92 2.4TD seems to have an element fuel filter. Does anyone know the part number and also would a cartridge filter (ie: screw on type) be a direct replacement instead?

Mine's a 92 2.4td an it has the screw on type - nearly destroyed it tryin to unscrew it as well as it's opposite thread as to what you think. Got it from a Local auto supplier (bit more expensive than some links on here). Just took the drain off the bottom of the old one and hooked up to new filter an seems fine.

You can get this type which has a replaceable cartridge but you lose the water trap warning light.

Does that just screw on in place of the normal canister?

Yep. You just need the one with correct thread to suit.
