yer it was a p*ss take. have you heard of HPE ? well known classic ford engine builder, and very extended family.. friends of my dads side of the family since they were all kids.. long story short there was a falling out but then a make up, but i had a falling out with one of them at the same time an engine i had needed refreshing. so one afternoon after work i had a couple of redbul and thought f it, ill do it my bl00dy self. never learnt anything about engines and took it apart, new cam in the block, new rings and bearings, more headwork and match porting and fitted a load of uprated stuff from escort bits. thankfully the bloke was kind enough to show me how to put rings on without breaking them, and also how to do cam timing on the chain cos i couldnt work that out from the book i had.
Anyway hpe i changed to ppe. so harris performance engines became pearce performance engine... lol

Worked at Pendine range a good few times...

They have a firing butt at the end of the missile rail to catch the missiles as they reach the end of the rail.

There is a concrete shelter there.

It is known as the Butt Party Shelter.

There is an interlock key used when everyone is under cover before a firing (more of a keyed plug which makes a connection in a box and causes a light to come on in Range Control)

When everyone is under cover, this key is inserted, and a radio call verifying this to Range Control.

Guess what the safety officer's message is?

I kid you not, newbies there nearly p1ss themselves when they hear it.
