the best thing to do is get a new mast from toyota. ismple to fit just turn the chrome bolt thing on the top with a pair of grips and the areal will come out put new mast in and turn radio off this will pull the new mast back in and all is good again!!

ok thanks for that. sounds easy enough. is the aerial surf specific or is it more popular than that eg corollas etc.
ill just go in and ask for a toyota surf mast and see what they say. thanks

you can get them from roughtrax but its cheaper from toyota direct you might need the vin number of you truck but should be a standard fit! you just want the mast and drive belt they come as one piece

who said toyota were cheaper than roughtrax? i went down to the parts dept this morning and ordered just the aerial. not the whole thing - just the mast. he came out to the car and wrote the chassis tag down. ordered it and said its £33.80 o well least it will work next week when i put it on

Thought it might have connected somewhere in the wing to another cable that leads to stereo??? Its only got 2ft cable
