from frickin shower has gone up in smoke whilst i was in it!. I am now going get a new one, but can i uprate from my existing 8.5kw to say a 9.5 or 10kw, on the existing wiring. unable to see the wiring wattage to the shower .

what size fuse is fitted?

not just the fuse size, it also the cable size. i think on 8.5 kw you need to have a min of 6 / 8mm T & E . The higher the rated shower the larger cable you will need and possible fuse you will need. I think for a 10 KW shower you will need 10mm T & E and a 45Amp breaker.

Yeah ur right but he doesnt know what size shower he has now!! a fuse size will give an idea..

i have got 32amp fuse and it looks like 6-8mm cabling
