  • CB aerial mount

I've finally got my CB installed last week and an well happy with the unit. However, i'm not so happy about the mag mount.

Have looked for somewhere to place a fixed body mount but not sure. Thought about just above the drivers rear lights but think this might be to close to the body .

Is it just as easy to place it on the roof?

Does anyone have a fixed mounting point on their surf and if so where?

    Cheers.

    Martin
    Which Wychwood would you choose?

A lot of the guys on the Oz forum mount theirs on the front bull bar (if you have one) not ideal for the ground plain, or the direction of the tx/rx, but it works ok.

          Cheers for the suggestions lads.

Don't really fancy the front bull bar as the aerial is 1.5m and it would look out of place. And unfortunately i don't have a rear wheel carrier. My spare is slung underneath.

Going to spend some time looking at the surfs on this and others forums, see if i can spot anything.

I was looking for a similar solution to you and some searching on yotatech turned up the Firestik door jamb mount as a possible solution. It's what I bought anyhow. (bought from US Ebay)

Found this pic of it in my searches:
