How soon do you want it in Bedford, does it drive or is it a tow job?
I'm that way in 2 weeks time if that helps.

Hi again.... I wasn't really serious, but you lot are amazing !

The size of the car is (give or take) :

              Length: 12' 5''
              Width: 5' 1"
              Height: 5' 0 1/2"
              Ground Clearance: 6 3/4"
              Wheelbase: 7' 2"

It's definatley a tow / trailer / padded jiffy bag!!!!??? job, as it hasn't run for about 2years....

If you can find an engine out of an Austin Healey (3.0) or an early Austin Landcrab (the early ones were rear wheel drive I think) then it will also fit (with quite a bit of bulkhead modification though). It will also give you enough Torque to bend the chassis in half.

Marina engines also fit (1800 would be nice).

I've seen a Moggy with an 1800 Marina engine in it, went like stink.

Oh and maybe an MGB engine or an MGC engine - if you can find one.

Or best of all a Fiat Twin Cam out of a Fiat 131. Most of those don't have any bodywork around them anymore but the engines are great.

                    Cheers

Oh that brings back memories I used to have a moggy 1275 (rebored to 1310) with a free gas flow racing head and it was supercharged. That was back in the 70's. them was the days BRING BACK 8 TRACKS

I once went in a Mini with an 1800 Maxi Motor - understeered like crazy with all that extra weight in the front but boy did it go in a straight line.

1275 mini engine is great though and you can do so much to it without it breaking on you.

                            Cheers
