its always intrigued me why a radio ham is called so.my dad was a ham but he never said, 10-4 good buddy, there's a bear in the air,bring it on back

Somebody with a plum voice probaly thought AM. sounded common, hence the leading H. Btw, they'd never say something that vulgar. That speak is for the CB louts.
