Well, I've finally managed to replace the front diff that I broke many many months ago. 
Lindas old diff from The Bullet arrived safely on Monday (thanks Linda and Tony), but I didn't get a chance to fit it until today due to work stuff. Got going on it this afternoon, and an hour an a half later I have an (apparently) working 4WD system again.
Just going to need to find somewhere I can give it a quick test, but there is nowhere near me unfortunately. There is a short greenlane not too far from work, so I'll try and give that a go next week.
Anyway, bring on the mud again.
Oh, had a little look inside the old diff, and it's been slowly chewing its self up over the last few months, metal shavings everywhere, and the teeth and looking much worse than they did. Probably wouldn't have been able to drive on it for much longer.
