2.5 TDI Surf (newby question)

I have been looking at a very nice 2.5ltr TDi auto surf with 40k miles on the clock. The guy wants 5,790 for it.
It looks mint and drives well, is this a fair price??

Also i understand that the 2.4 Surf suffers from head problems, is the 2.5 ok in this respect.

Is the 2.5 a better surf 4x4 to go for?? Does it have vices of its own?

A couple other questions also,
What is the load carry capacity of a surf?
Any idea what MPG a 2.5TDi will do on a run at around 75MPH

I am keen to buy but i do not want to buy a money pit so any help appreciated

no 2.5 surfs 2.5 is bad info as its a 2.4

Strange, It has 2.5 stamped in to the casting on top of the rocker cover, how can this be?

Dave, it's no wonder youre confused. Go back to the link you posted and look at the vehicle. It is described as having 19 inch wheels and coloured mirrors and bumpers. You can clearly see chrome mirrors and bumpers, and standard size wheels. I rest my case about dealers descriptions.
