If it wasn't bad enough finding out last week my hip bone hasn't healed properly,today i had a letter from work saying that i now won't be paid from the 04/07/07 so i have now got to try and claim social which is only £60 a week.I have also been signed off for at least 3 months aswell so things aren't looking very good at the mo

Hi Richard, don't loose faith mate i was off for the best part of 18 months in total. You should be able to claim dissability living allowance and incapacity benefit. I had to claim it as i was off for so long. Not a lot of people know what exactly they are entitled to claim and no-one tells them otherwise. The only way i knew was because my better half works in mental health and has to fill the forms in for her clients. I was getting £65 DLA and £55 incapacity per week. Thats why we pay national insurance. Use it or loose it is their motto me thinks, so get those forms filled in and send them off asap. Mine was backdated too from the day i had the accident. Got me out the sh1t. Good luck m8

Sorry to hear that Richard, it's no joke trying to get the benifiets your entitaled to, been through it for my wife whos disabled, endless forms and fob off's, you get it in the end and it's backdated but your left hanging for weeks without money, you have to persivere with it, hopefully you wont be on it too long.
