      p.s. any idea how much torque/horsepower the 2.4 rear axle can handle? the standard 1st gen LS400 1uz-fe v8 chucks out 260 bhp and 260 ft-lbs @ 4400rpm.

          well mines not snapped yet and im putting 350bhp through it and around 400lbft @5500rpm.and thats the original 2.4 axle

            Not a landrover then I lost count of the number of half shafts I broke on my old 1959 2 1/4 petrol it had a Harvey frost crane on the back.
