No its the voltage that the vehicle runs at 12v is most cars and vans 24v is lorries etc. you annot use a 24v on a 12v system as there is not enough power and if you used 12v on a 24v system it would burn out
we would be able to run a 24v winch with our two batterys?
cheers scotty
No due to the surf being a 12v system
And the batteries are in parallel giving 12v........not in series giving 24v and that would fry the rest of the surf electrics
nice work there in the fitting of it. i would prefer mine (when i get one) to be higher than that.
just have to wait on the results of the 4x4RUS winch bumper to see if it is affordable.
nice job though.
cheers scotty
Only had a quick play at pulling daughters car up the back lane. Should get to play next weekend when i go to a local 4x4 site. I want to get stuck lol
As for the mounting position it was coppied from another forum members that i have seen working and worked well there so went for the same mounting position which tucks away neatly. with a winch bumper you would get a bit more height.
While the welder was out i made a ground anchor but not had time to try it yet.
