  • Oil slick

Just done my first service on car (so easy not having to use a jack!). Bought a nice little oil draining carton from halfords, undid the sump plug, the force was unbelievable, hit the drain tray and cascaded over the sides. Normally I wouldn't mind, but I live in city centre so I parked in a pay and display-its made quite a little mess!!!
Think I better go buy a bag of sand from b&q, its not like there weren't any witnesses.
Halfords draining thing has gone in the bin. (N.B. Use a bucket instead.)

Other than that, went like a dream, oil filter flew off and now filled up with lovely clean oil and slick50.

    Next job fuel filter-any tips?
