That Dulux does take a while to harden
Seriously tho it looks the dogs testicles, he made a real good job of it,
An effect i was going to try on me rear lights was useing some net curtain plastic prime em and let it dry, pull the net over tight'is and tape it from behind, spray satin black over em and remove the net carefully before it dries, let it dry and 3-4 coats of satin laquer to smooth em off, might look total cr@p, so if you do it i'll see wot it looks like before i do it

or taking it a step further you could leave a shaped cutout visible, a small circle or lightning flash or something but then i guess it'd start getting iffy for being pulled over and MOTs something like this

tried that didn't like it, an extra horizontal stripe through each light looks ok, but i reckon if you tint too much more of the lens you gonna start upsettin Mr. Plod
