                        What about tailight tinting spray? I know you can't cover the whole cluster(legally), but can you get away with a tint on part of it? I'll have a play with paintshop and see what i can do.

                              or taking it a step further you could leave a shaped cutout visible, a small circle or lightning flash or something but then i guess it'd start getting iffy for being pulled over and MOTs something like this

                                I've tinted mine using transparent glass paint (burgundy of course) in my airbrush, with clear laquer over the top.
