I got my 3.0lt head from Stevo, and so far so good. I looked on ebay and there are a lot of places that sell heads. Some as low as £250, but I can't see them being any good. There was one guy that was offering "genuine" heads for around £500. I suppose unless you actually buy one from Toyota you always run the risk of someone passing off a pattern head as a genuine item. It is a worry. Stevo was about £200 cheaper than Toyota for the same genuine head.

On the bright side, I've had radiators fail twice. the first time through damage, and the second time through the replacement radiator blowing apart.
Both failures were at speed on the motorway, and both resulted in the temperature needle all the way to the right. the first time was 10 months and 20 +,000 miles ago, the second was about 2000 miles ago.
Everything has been fine, so I guess mine had the head replaced with a modded one before I got it.
