      Urrrrr, Ummmmm...yeah, that must've been my evil twin!! I'd never be so stupid to suck in several pints of muddy water into my air filter!!

      Ok, ok....it was me, but it's just muddy - not scratched!!!

        Never upset me or I can scrub thousands off the value of any written off motor you might own , if you insure with Cornhill.

        Sorry. Iv'e only had bad experience of (an) insurance assessor(s). 20 years no claims on household insurance and we were offered (and he was doing us a BIG favour)....................... .£45.00 towards replacing landing, stairs, hall and lounge carpets. (Knocked a loose nail back into the landing floorboards ). I nearly threw the g*t out of the window!!!
        I'm sure you are one of the better ones (grovel).
        Never had to claim for any damage, including 8 years no claims on two wheelers, prior to passing my car test.
        Fingers crossed for another 30 years incident free(ish) motoring.
        It's only a hobby!

          we had similar, when our dodgy builders knocked a hole in the garage and the next day dug through a watermain we claimed on the insurance (2 claims)
          they paid up £1000 nice and quickly.... but the sent a letter saying if we had any more claims then they'd no longer insure us!! after all that time we'd been with them!
          (changed all my building insurance away from them though!!)
          nee nar nee nar, i'm a fire engine!

            Insurance = Legalised Extortion.
            As long as the shareholders are happy, who cares!

              It's only one step away from legalised protection rackets. Only difference is that they don't send the boys round to smash the blazes out of your car, they just wait for some other Bozo to do it for them.

              Come the Glorious day - I'm gonna be waiting with that Bren Gun.

              Up against the wall the lot of you. Now eat lead you insurance scum!!.

              Boy I feel better for that
