  • first four winch bumper. can be made for 5 orders!!

    http://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk/forums/at...5&d=1180218055

seen one of these shadow winch bumpers fitted on my mates new monster disco today, i emailed them a few days ago as it happens about making one to fit a surf. the response was they didnt think there was a market for one.

    http://www.firstfouroffroad.co.uk/tubular_bumpers.htm

ill stick some pics of the monsters fitted one when i upload the pics from todays bofa day, but they look stunning. and a damm sight cheaper than going the arb route.

surely we can raise enough interest from this forum alone for them to knock up say 5 for definate orders?? what do you lot think??

      Hi Andrew,
Yes, I`m interested. I took my standard bars off with the long-term plan of fitting winch-bumper and winch when finances allow.
      cheers,

to be fair, there arn't many of us that would put our hands on our pockets for the prices of an arb.... but this is nowhere near that kind of money. there arn't a massive amount of members who offroad. and there are a hell of a lot of landys that do. today at the chase. 13 landys, and me.. and thats not unusual.

just emailed them again to ask how many definate orders with deposits to prove interest they would want to make some. ill obviously stick my name in the hat and say yep. anybody else?

these things retail at about £290 for the disco/defender.

The problem is they need a pattern truck to work to , and this take time. also they need to make it adaptable to the different makes of winch due to the limited amount of room to work with.

they make one to suit a warn, and superwinch and i think more. a lot of the winches out there use a generic fitting pattern. and hell if they can make one they can have mine for a week that bumper

I was speaking to the guys on one of the stands at the donny 4x4 show back in february, and they seemed very keen on building something for a surf / ifs pickup. I almost gave them my truck for a week as a pattern, I can't remember who it was though, I pm'd someone on here who was lookin for a winch bumper at the time with their details so if it was you and you can remember the company, come on own up. I know you decided not to do it either, but if there's interest it might be worth one of us on here thinking about it again?

was indeed lurch, I just found the messages buried in my pm box.

But I don't appear to have sent him the company details other than that they were based in warwick, i'll dig out the flyers and everything I picked up at the show and see if I can work out who it was tomorrow.

                            that's them http://www.4x4rus-online.co.uk/Products.htm

i'm on holiday in June on the canals, i think we start at Napton (about 20 miles from Warwick) so they could have my truck then as it'll only be sittin in a boatyard for 2 weeks anyway.
