  • Intercooler???

    Can some one in the know tell me what the difference between the normal 3.0lt Turbo diesel and the intercooled version is please? Are both engines exactly the same and have the same layout? The only difference being the intercooler?

    All this talk of intercooling has me wondering.

          Thanks for that Vince. I will refrain from the Sarcasm though, as that is after all, the cheapest form of Wit

                I know he's right. I was referring to his comment;

                Would that be a 2" body lift?? How easy is that to do?

                  Im talking from what ive read up! as im yet to fit any body lift kit.

                  Theres a few fiddly bits from what i can work out, but overall installation is straightforward,

                  Seperate the body from the chassis and then just jack them apart to get enough to slide the spacer in, 10 mount points and thats it!

                    Do the drivers side first, and maybe file the hole slightly where the steering column goes through the bulkhead, or loosen the bolts and adjust the splined shaft.
                    Posibly a slight adjustment (filing) to the transfer lever opening to allow thew lever to go back fully.

                      I thought it was file out in front of it so you can get it into 4L ?

                      most of it depends on how much of a lift you fit! 1" i would imagine not much really needs doing! 1.5" you might be able to get away with it, 2" as bushwhacker covered, 3" well thats just a nasty can of worms!! all sorts of bits need checking
