  • Arrghhh - bottom pulleys - who'd have 'em?

    Hello

Changed the timing belt on the pick up today.

Feeling smug as the bottom pulley bolt was found to be hand tight - naughty.

However, the pulley was that rusted onto the crank it took an hour to get it off - bl00dy hell it was tight!!! And the belt looked like it had been on there for years.

But alls well and all that and its back together and running lovely.

Mine was opposite way round, i really thought the f**ker was going to shear off, tried smacking the spanner with a lump hammer to "shock" it free, would'nt have it in the end it was brute force and a long bar, bent the spanner up well tho, i split a socket first try,
Belt fell on tho, give me a timeing chain anyday, noisy but easy!
