Newbee Q - Indicator Bulb Holder

Hi fellow surfers.

I'm new to this forum but had my surf for 5 years now. It looks like a good place for info on anything surfy

I've had a quick search, but i found nothing on this topic.

I'm looking for a front indicator bulb holder for my '96 KZN185 3.0TD

Unfortunatelly my existing one is missing!!!

I's only a small part but i cant find one anywhere.

Where can i get one of these?? Has any one got one of these surplus to requirements.

Any ideas would be really appreciated.

You'll probably only get something like that from a Toyota dealer.

Thanks for the welcome -

Unfortunately the bulb fell from the back of the light and smashed on the wheel, leaving me with no indicator. How this happened is a total mystery.

I'll give it a go down the Toyota dealer route, it's just that they didn't seem too willing to help!

Hello and welcome. I allways find it easy to find bits like that by going on fleabay typing in "toyota surf breaking" then email them all asking if they have one and how much to post then you can take your pick of the best deal.

81945-12010 is the part number for the bulb socket on the KZN185.

I will tackle the local dealer tomorrow.

In the meantime i've sent an email to a guy breaking an older Hi-lux.
Unfortunately i couldn't find anyone breaking a later facelifted model.


Did indiacator bulb holders changed from pre facelift to post face lift? Could i fit an earlier version?

I quoted the parts number and the bulb holder will be with the garage on Thursday!!!
