Mine is also a 3.0lt, but that didn't stop it cracking. But I will admit, mine did last nearly 18 months, but having looked at the stain on the head and block where the crack was, I reckon it cracked in Japan and they used block sealer to fob it off to me. So who know's it may have gone years ago????
I read about this cracked head thing thats supposed to happen on them which is one of the reasons I chose the 3.0 ltr to limit the chances.
I'm not naive tho.... and at the end of the day i've got a 12 year old machine and chances are somethings going to break sooner or later........
......that just means i'll have to buy something shiny and new and better to replace the broken part!
I've done a tour of duty by owning a classic 1977 MGBT as my first car. Every month i could guarantee that my alternator/exhaust/radiator/carboretta etc etc would fall off.

But only by the blue owners. That's why us GG chaps keep out of the colour wars. We *KNOW* we have the best colour.
