Rogue Dealer - Beware

Folks,

I have put a post in the dealer section regarding Penfolds of Surrey. But in case nobody reads the dealer section I thought I'd go for the jugular. Don't use this company to buy a vehicle. i have been in dispute since the day I bought mine. They advertise MOT, Service and 1 year warranty. I haven't even gotten a regristration document. I have written to them and called them and they keep promising to send the documents or lying by saying they must have got lost in the post. I have now run aout of patience so I called BIMTA to make a complaint about them and it turns out they are not members and have been refused membership even though the ad in Autotrader carries a BIMTA approval. Beware its not true. I also called DVLA and they haven't recived a request from Penfolds to change the registered keeper to my name. I have now done it myself. I have also reported them to the office of Fair Trading. My warranty if it exists at al is worthless and I will have to have an MOT and service done. Anybody know a garage in Reading who can service a Surf ?

Bad stuff my friend. Hope something good comes soon.
As for a place to get serviced- I'm not so sure about actually in Reading but I live in Henley about 20 minutes out. There's a place here called Whitehill Service station (it's at the top of Remenham Hill if you know it).
They specialise in er... non standard vehicles like expensive sports cars, old cars and they were happy to take my Surf.
They know what they're doing, they'll give you a good price and they're damn good guys that you can trust.
