If he has all the paperwork ready about 1/2 hour.

But he has to take a trip to the nearest DVLA office, cough up the £25 reg fee, £95 for the 6 month road tax, take an mot or SVA certificate and a translation of the original registration doc (if it's an import)

It took 3 days for the dealer to do mine, and that was including getting an mot done and a foglight fitted!

i put a deposit on a surf on saturday and he reconds it will take till friday to sort, it has a sva on it allready.

Our local dvla office won't do it on the spot. Mine took around a week to come back.
