Nah, just been taking the passenger seat out and pulling the carpet up in the footwell, so that I could put some rags down to soak the majority of the water up.

The cold air intake for the heater is at the base of the screen.

I noticed that when I took the fan out. That's why my initial thought was of that. It is just a rather large gaping hole, isn't it? Just been having a look whilst I was out there taking the seat out. The vent only has a splashguard type cover to stop water going in there, doesn't it. What would be the best thing to try to rule that out, other than completely sealing it up Vince?

get a hose pipe out and run some water over the windscreen.

Drill a drainage hole in the footwell?

Haven't looked at it closely, but some sort of cover/deflecter over the intake hole so that air can still get in but water can't

Without flooding it again, might I add.
