Just back from hospital, where i thought they might take plaster of off my leg.
No chance. At least another month if not two, before it comes off. I should have got copy of X Ray and got the forums opinion, but it looks like, although its started to heal, due to it being a serious trauma, as the specialist called it, don't know why he just didn't say broken leg, it might be another month or two before it comes off, then i have to start Physio etc, so doesn't look like i will be running around for quite a while yet, but at least i can drive.

Carrying a 47 Kilo box of Fuel Cat's downstairs so the courier could collect and didn't know that the wife had moped the varnished wood floor in the hallway. Put foot on floor and of course it went from under me, with box dropping on my leg, which broke my Tibia and Fibia. Luckily no pain at all, even at the time or up to now. Its only a pain in the neck!!!!!
To be honest, i have been luck and really its only an inconvenience having the broken leg.

Sue those French swine for loss of earnings. If I recall it was them that caused it in the first place.

You have a good memory, just wait till you get to my age.
Not worth getting my free bus pass as yet, what with leg.

I think all consultants must be on commission. I was told 6 - 8 weeks for an open compound fracture to my right leg.
              "Result" me thinks..............NOT
              Hospital bed = 13 weeks
              Operations = 11
              1 external fixator
              1 full length back slab(cast)
              MRSA
hobbling on crutches = 9 months
back to work = 15 months
physio = 2 years and finally given the all clear this year.
Now for what started out as 6 - 8 weeks progressed to over three years.
Personally i knew it was worse than i was told but all the staff involved were absolutely fantastic and gave it their all 100% of the time. But consultants, well i still think they're on commission(only joking).
Don't worry m8 youll be up and at it sooner than you think.

ps. bones heal a lot faster if you can actually use them so if your in a full cast it will take a little longer. Keep ya chin up

                Ant

After reading about your problems, thats why i say i am lucky. Plaster to the knee so can bend leg app 45 Deg although due to fibia break, not right back.
The hospital did say to put some weight on it, but as i can't move ankle i can't really walk properly and also don't as yet want to put all my weight on it, but can go fair distance with crutches, doing a kind of hop, skip and jump.
                Glad your OK now.
