Hi guys, thanks for the prompt replies.
i'm in Torpoint near the ferry to England! As for lanes, I only got my Surf at the weekend. However, last year I did have a cracking afternoon at Bush Farm near Callington.
Looking through past threads, there seems to be quite a few from the SW.

you have a couple of green lanes in torpoint too!!! if you fancy finding them and trying them out i am in saltash. will have to wiat till i have fixed my truck tis a bit poorly at the mo and not had time to fix it (if i can!!!)
