    isn't it great...

went for a walk with the dog, turn on GPS in mobile phone, it records where you've been, speed, altitude, etc.

when you get back, load it into google earth and it shows Mrs Slug where i went... (not down the pub!)

it's a little bit erratic, but that's down to the phone being in my pocket and walking under subways, in shops and between buildings...

    cool little gadget though!!...

(i can listen to the MP3 player at the same time!!)

(it's got a different start point from finish point cos i started at mrs slugs mums house)
nee nar nee nar, i'm a fire engine!

    Cool!

Is that the kind of gadget the Goverment want to fit to our cars?

only without the mp3 capabilities though 'cos that would be distracting!

the slide on my phone was shut and it was in my pocket, but also chasing the dog, going under subways and looking round the shop for a spiderman sticker book!!...

so it's not as accurate as it would be if i had it on the car dash... but pretty good.

            Nokia N95

            it's got GPS,
            WIFI
            5mp camera
            Mp3
            etc. etc.

            (makes calls and texts too!!)

the GPS navigation takes a little while to lock to satellites, but this program (sports tracker) only takes a few seconds.

trouble is, the vodophone and orange ones have the VoIP disabled so i'm complaining!!

Have you had chance to find out what the battery life is like yet?
I've been looking at them but one site I looked at had the standby as 1 day
But i've since seen it listed at 200+ hours.

Standby isn't too bad. I had the battery low thing beeping at me all day yesterday & it lasted all day & through the night & my alarm went off ok this morning No doubt if i had tried to send a text it would have died instantly though.

If you start playing with it (you know you will when you 1st get it ) it wont last too long though & will need charging a bit more.

I've got a 5140 that i use for work & that can go for what seems like months without needing a charge.

MP3 player sound quality is awesome.

                            mine was free.

just depends on your usage and haggling skills.

got a free PAYG phone too!

it comes with a car charger, TV connector, USB cable, PC suite etc. etc.
