  • Some kind person made my day

Family day out today…took family, 4 bikes, picnic, cooker, rucksack, camera windproof tops and bike helmets. Drove to Wendover woods park the truck up and the kids want to go straight off on bikes so I get all the bits out load the rucksack set the bikes up. We had a really nice 2 hour ride up and down the hills. We stopped 1km away from the truck and I thought I would take some picture of the kids on their bikes…..the camera was not in the top of the bag where I thought I had put it. I tipped every thing out NO CAMERA (£200 camera, £40 fast recharging high power batteries, £40 extra memory card, £20 case) not happy. Then I start to think back to what happened. I put the camera next to my bike helmet on the roof of the truck..SH1T. Well I think there’s no chance it will be there after 2 hours and loads of people milling around.

I get back to the Truck and …..it’s not on the roof…..bugger bugger bugger .

I then go round to unlock the truck and the camera has been placed on the side step of the driver’s side by some very kind person.

Never got the chance to say thanks unfortunately

    Lucky day for me

Would you have thought it would have still been there after 2 hours?

I wonder now.... last year I drove past a car and spotted that there was a mobile on the road next to it. I stopped picked it up and found it was a ? PDA, satnav thing with windows xp on and email. I didn't want to leave it on the car because I thought it would be nicked so I took it on my shopping trip. On closer inspection it belonged to a someone in the building trade and I recognised there logo. I drove back to where I found it and knocked on the door of a house near where I had found it that was having building work done. The ? surveyor at the house answered and said it was his car but had lost nothing...till he checked his pocket. Boy was he happy and could not believe that anyone would do such a thing!

Maybe what goes around comes around..?
