Whoa, there. Sorry if I've offended you, was meant as a little light hearted fun.

With all the equipment you've listed it's hard to visualise. I remember doing my dads set up and from what I can recall it was TV aerial into freeview box, scart from freeview to vcr, scart from vcr to tv. Then xbox scart into second scart on tv. You should have at least 2 AV channels on new TV. You need to set up xbox and vcr to the AV channels. Any chance of posting some pics of the back of the equipment where all the scarts etc are located ? Hope that helps.

OK on TV plug Xbox into Scart2. Plug Freeview into Video I/P on VCR, plug Video O/P on VCR into Scart1 on TV. Then what ever you Watch on Freeview you can record on VCR.Hope this helps

ok, from experience, some digi boxes wont send a picture signal out on the vcr scart. this is to stop you taping films n that.
so what i did was unplug the scart from the tv and plug it into the video. but then you loose your tv unless you use the RF cable from the vcr to the tv.

what you might be able to do is have the scart tv from the digi box going into a scart splitter, and have the vcr, tv and xbox plugged into that.
as long as the little splitter can connect all 3 you should be fine.
                      Oh Nana, what's my name?
