Plenty of water and a small amount of food every couple of hours... That general anaesthetic is a real pain... oh and more grapes and fruit than he can bear... The codeine will play havoc with his insides...
I agree with that Andy, i dont take general very well, first thing i did was throw up, Glad to hear he OK,
Heard from Jotto this morning... he seems to be doing fine... just got to get the GA out of his system... and get some mobility back as soon as possible...
He's had a really good day. He's been on his feet and walked the length of the corridor and up and down 4 steps. The Physio was really pleased with him.
He's still in a bit of pain and it hurts to cough. While I was there the Nurse siad I could draw the curtains and 'make him happier', Jon declined!!!!! I couldn't see a problem myself. It was under the nurse's instructions after all.
Dan - I'll pass your message on, please don't be offended if lift kits aren't available just yet.
As usual I'll keep you updated when I know any more.

Good Luck

I spoke to Jon earlier , as Jenny says , he is on the way home today . Shame as I had my poking stick ready to prod him with in hospital ward. .
Going round tonight to see him at home .
He sounds very cheerful and well , so far
