Jackie tried that with me when we first got married so I invested a few hours (OK weeks) training her and she's been fine ever since - while I was serving she even used to do all my uniform (with the exception of my best kit)

and another good ironing tip is unplug the phone first especially if you have had to have vast amounts of alcohol first.....think about it.
