Maximum Weight on Roofrack

I was wondering dose any one know what is the maximum weight you can carry the roof rails of a 3rd Gen with a safari type rookrack fitted

it's not so much what the surf can carry but the weight limit on the roof rack
wouldnt want to loose all your stuff down the road when the bolts snap that are holding it on

I've had a four seated sofa on mine, and on another time 20 Lengths of 6 meter timber 4"x2". Not sure what weight .
