Now, now, you know you can't be driving round in a dirty truck, dropping mud everywhere, it's illegal y'know. I polish mine every weekend, was outside doin it just now as it happens.

Turtlewax, T-cut, and autoglym best things since sliced bread.

Bought myself a '91 2.4TD SSR about 6 months ago. Unfortunately its spend the last month in a mates garage. Engine cut out twice in a day on the motorway so got him to look at it. Was running like a bag of hammers.

Its been a nightmare!!! Replaced the injectors first to find there was hugh back pressure. And so the fun started. Stripped the engine to find a piston chewed to hell & one that was cracked in 3 places.
So to cut a long story short we replaced, 4 pistons & linings, injectors, cylinder head, valves & water pump. As well as the usual rad cap & termo.
Came to the conclussion that the previous owner bodged the engine to get rid of it. It was full of silicon & we took 1/2lb of filings out the bottom.
If I was you I'd get in touch with legal people if you have RAC or similar or CAB. Sounds like you might be able to go down Sale of Goods Act route. If not the last owner.

                  Thanks for all your comments.

As for the colour, i like it. Hopefully, if the weather stays like this, I'll get a chance to polish everything. Bit of a pig to wash the roof mind you. Would like to get it all nice and tidy inside & out ready to mess up again down the beach.

Looking forward to see how it handles.
                  Which Wychwood would you choose?
