  • Rubbing noise underneath

Hi chaps. My 3rd gen has developed an intermitent rubbing noise when it moves. The noise seems to bee coming from the front end sounds like possible brakes rubbing. The faster i go the faster the noise happens. The sound is getting louder ever so slightly.

I look foward to the wave of knowledge coming down on me.....

Have you got one of the heated hair curlers stuck???

Check your CV joints, look for issues on the drive shafts too, check the tyres are not bulging anywhere, if you've been offroad check you haven't got muck in the brakes and check the hubs too.....

    and

make sure the hairspray pump belt is tight.

if you depress the brake pedal slightly whilst driving along can you feel the pedal going up and down???if you can it could be a warped disc.

Check your CV boots for splits, and if you've been off road recently you may have mud/water in them.

Also check your brake pads/calipers, coz you may have a siezed caliper.

Also check for any other foriegn bodies ( not dead Frenchmen BTW) in the drive train, or maybe one of the rubber "skirts" from the inside of the wheel arch has fallen onto the wheel.
