  • Just Bought These Wheel Spacers.

Just bought these on ebay from L.A. Supertrux. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...5130&rd=1&rd=1
£100 including delivery. Seem like a bargain to me. So come on you lot who's gonna be first and burst my bubble by telling me I could have got better, cheaper, somewhere else.

Still as long as I'm happy eh? Can't wait to get them on next week.

Cheers Vince, glad I haven't bought a crock. Read up on here before hand to make sure I bought the right type (yes people I know how to use the search engine). Tried TonyN's website but couldn't find any listed, unless it was just me being numb!

I think it was just a 'one off' set he was selling, and not on his site.

Think he's waiting on an order of some isn't he? Wouldn't mind some, but thinking about getting 33s at some stage, and 33s with 30mm spacers would just be too wide.

I've mastered parking against the wall now. No... really... AGAINST the wall. If I rub the tyres lightly against the wall, because of the angle the truck sits at with wheels on the kerb, the arches are about 1/2" from the wall. Thats about as much space as I can leave for other cars

They look like gooduns Jim, its those so called universal spacers that's cr@p,
not a bad price either!, i was lucky enough to get some from "trackstore"
(remember them) just before they went down the pan, they were doing a discount for forum members then, paid £80 i think, reccon they make the truck look a lot better, meaner looking stance etc,
On the subject of 33's, can i fit em with the 2"lift or do ya need to lift the suspension as well? the protrusion will depend on the rim type i guess, my 31's are just in line with the arches, the rims are deeper dish than standard rims and with the spacers as well put em just in line,

Cheers Ian, been after some for a while. 2nd hand ones are like hens teeth so thought I'd bite the bullet and buy new ones while the 'price was right'! Can't see any wheel nuts in the picture though and in my initial excitement I didn't ask before ordering!

Hopefully someone else will answer your question regarding tyre sizes, I'm sticking to what i have as I have no intention of doing any real off roading although I'd love to go and watch.

Really fancy this green laning lark but there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity around Newcastle. Maybe I'll try and whip up some interest and see if I can get some of the members who are close to me to get together for a meet.

What sizes do the spacers come in??

Will they fit my 2nd gen?? and what possible problems might I encounter??

Yes they WILL fit your 2nd Gen

The only problem you might encounter is if you have dodgy wheel bearings, then you may need to replace them.

Thanks Trev, guess I won't know about the wheel bearings until I try, do you need any nuts with them or not, and how far out from the wheel arch can the wheels extend before any mechanical problems occur ( ie steering/tyre scrub) or I get nicked???

Oh and are there different sizes??

They can exaggerate any wheel bearing or balencing problems that you may have but not noticed, but thats about it.

they are 30 or 32mm wide, not sure which, basically your legal as long as the thread of the tyre that touches the road is covered, sidewall bulge is ok to stick out.

Thanks Tony, I'll check my arches to see how much I can gat away with, but with the 31"x10.5 M/T's on I don't think it'll be much.

Anyway, should really get my fuel pump fixed first,

On that subject, whats your opinion regarding repair/replacement of mu fuel pump, the leak appears to be from the joint where the distributor block joins the pump body, its an "o" ring.
