  • Window Motor Required.

I bought a Brand new Rear Tailgate Window regulator and fitted it, but the motor is worn. I asked my local S$$$$py for any 1992 to 1995 Toyota Left Hand window motor, but they wanted £45 with the regulator and motor together and they wouldn't split it. I'm not going to pay for a regulator when I have just bought a new one!

Anyway, has anyone got a Good Tailgate or L/H window motor they wouldn't mind parting with, if I cross your palm with silver?

    Thanks.

if you can do without one of the rear door motors then use one of them until you can get another motor. The drivers side motor you can use but will have to turn it 180deg to fit but still works ok

what motor did you ask for.You can use a corolla, hiace van,mr2 passenger side.I rang up a s c rappy down here and he wouldn't have it that another motor from another vehicle would fit and i told him to take one out and try it mine and if it fits i'll have it free so he hung up on me after saying i've been in the business 20 years so i know what fits and don't fit

My window works ok, but the teeth on the motor are worn and the shaft has play in it, so I don't want to cause it to wear out the new regulator.

I don't want to strip the passanger door down, just to replace the motor at a later date, seeing as the tailgate is working.

Thanks Stormforce, that will be great.

By the way, I have Cornish blood in me. My Grandmother was from St.Ives, She was a Trevorrow.

It's an old Traditional Cornish name originated from St.Ives. If you look over the top of the shop windows in St. Ives you will see the name Trevorrow. I know when I was last down there; there was an Art shop with the name etched in the glass window.
