Morning all, I'm pretty chuffed cos the truck passed her MOT this weekend. I needed to do a couple of bits and pieces to it recently but many thanks to TonyN for telling me what needed doing and how to do it. Replaced the rear anti-roll bar brackets and bushes and also the Idler arm bushes. The old bushes didn't seem too worn and the arm itself was near enough pristine but there was almost no grease left so I gave everything a clean up, replaced the bushes (shame to strip it all and not replace the bushes, they were only a few quid after all!) and filled it to the brim with grease. Once it was back together there was noticably less movement than before (i.e. once it was done there was no 'jiggling' about at all).
Sailed through the MOT with no advisories at all, the MOT testers were asking about using chip oil, think there's a few converts there. Now hopefully they'll give us this 2500l limit and we can save a few quid.
