Has anyone got a chart which compares one tyre size with another showing how different a 265 and a 31" might be i.e. which is bigger

When you say a 265 you might need to enlighten me as to the profile and rim size

I am guessing you are looking at a 265/75-R15???

I am not being smart it's only that there is a difference with all the numbers

To make it even more complex, different tyre brands are not all the same size even if the numbers are the same.
    Go figure that one out

I'll go have a squiz in my links and get back to you shortly

thanks for the links lads. Theres no specific profile Simono, I dont figure in this, its the near equivalents between metric and imperial sizes in general I was after. This was posted on a thread about tyre sizes on yotatech and it made me pose the above question

not to hijack er anything, what would the metric size be for 32's and/or 33's. More specifically 32x11.50x15? <HR>

i think 32's are 245/85's....im not sure how that all calculates out. i've looked for a conversion calculator but cant find one

Just done a bit of maths and measuring and got these for you
They are close equivalents. I am not saying that the metric sizes are all available but it gives you an idea

29x9.5 R15 is 245/75R15 These are available, I had them
              30x9.5R15 is 245/80R15
31x10.5R15 is 265/75R15 This is a common tyre, I've got them
              31x11.5R15 is 295/70R15
              32x11.5R15 is 295/75R15
33x12.5R15 is 315/70R15 Lots of crazy Aussies and kiwis run these, but you need a lift.
You can go bigger still but then you are into $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Hope I have been a bit more helpfull this time
