Hey guys linux is sooo much easier nowadays.
            Try PCLinuxOS.

I reckon in a couple o years, Linux will be the norm for the majority of users.

            As for mounting drives ???
i find it harder to mount the wife

there are $$$$ loads out there.

im still trying to get my hands on the 3d-desktop version.
it allows you to spin the screen like the screen is a cube, and your viewing one side of that 6 sided 3d cube.
you can have numerous programs running on different sides and can turn it round or flip it over whilst movies are playing and all sorts.
                  Oh Nana, what's my name?

                      Then get PCLinuxOS.
                      It comes with Beryl installed.
So just make sure you have the correct driver for your card installed from synaptic package manager.
Then in pclinux control centre hardware section select 3D, reboot and your away

                        http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php?topic=20636.0

Gone are the days of continuesly having to use command lines to get anything to work.
And with most distros coming with a live cd, then you can try them out before installing to your hard drive.

PCLinux took just 8 minutes to install for me.
This is still a test release, the final one (i think) but it is so stable and fast, much more so than windows xp.
