why did it go up in £5 till the end then? i not understand. if i bid £300.01 surely the next bid should be 305.01 YES??? not 300.05

Last 2 items I bid on last week had both items cancelled , No reason given , just my bids withdrawn

if you bid £300.01, then the bid would show as £300
so the next person would bid £5 up from that.

if you bid £300.01 and then the next bid was also £300, then your bid would win by 1p

No mate, it's just the way it works. I usually bid, say £31.07, just cos a lot of people would bid max £30, and then the savvy ones £31, then the savvier ones £31.01, then me, £31.07.
