My 2.4 has a problem. A few weeks ago i was driving it when it started to stutter. The ignition check light started to flick off and on, after about a half mile it cut out all together and clouds of white smoke came out the back.
A mate from work towed me back and took a look under the bonnet. After asking me to try and start it a few times with no joy he pulled a vacuum pipe off and it started. He pushed the pipe back on and it was ok. It has been ok since but every now and then it coughs and the check light flicks on and off, then its ok again. I do remember a buzzing sound coming from under the dash somewhere so was thinking maybe a dodgy relay somewhere.
Anyone had this problem?
