I have just had to re-joined the forum as "madcapbell2" my user name username "madcampbell" has stopped me posting..... I went into the User CP and changed my email address. This when submitted flashed up a message too quick to read then has locked me out from being able to post or edit my aviator.. I can log on as madcampbell but cannot do anything.

I think you should have had an email, to your 'new' address, confirming the change. There might be a link to click before you can post?
