I used to play drums and bass years ago - huge fan of a diverse range of music, but love Aerosmith, Lost Profets, Metallica, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Foo Fighters....lots of others too
"I'm a drummer, and my hero is Dave Lombado. Ah, the good old days....:"
I, too, am a drummer - more of a Neil Peart/ Chad Smith/ Brady Blade fan.
(not massive on Bonzo though.....)
Like, Lars & Mike Portnoy is amazing
But a definate YES to the orginal question
Nice one Steve. Always good to speak to another drummer.
I've got the Liquid drum Theater DVD by Mike Portnoy, he is an absolute genius. I used to have drum tuition by a guy called Richard Beasley, he is the live and studio drummer for Gary Newman, but at £22ph and a two hour round trip it was to much.
What kit have you got? Mine's a Tama Starclassic Birch in Red Aztec Fade, 10/12/14/22, 6 1/2 X 14 Bronze snare, Iron Cobra single bass pedal, Iron Cobra Hi-hat, Tama 1st chair drum throne, Tama Roadpro hardware with Sabian and K custom Zildians.
