in 2001 the government decided that instead of skanking everybody by engine size they would do it by co2 emmissions instead. so they reduced the previous 4 bands of engine size down to 2 (below 1500 & above 1500) and introduced 6 bands of co2 emmissions, A being the lowest & F the highest, then in the last budget skankmaster brown decided to create a band G for cars with emmissions of over 224g of co2 per km (or somthing like that) what he didn't do is re-categrize the earlier ones (which he may well do when everybody runs older cars!)
Anything registered before 2001 runs on engine sizes so if he continues to raise tax on them like he normally does it should only rise about £10, but I wouldn't put it past him to increase all road taxes in the name if global warming.
Like you said I will keep mine as long as I can to avoid the co2 tax scam.
