Just out of curiosity, why would you do that? Heavier truck? Yours is lighter at the front than most isn't it?

I suppose two of the same rate would effectively double the rate. Is that correct?

yea your right andy my truck is about 300kgs lighter than most of yours.but its also a lot taller than most.im having trouble with the rear suspension being a bit on the non responsive side.so i think tony has suggested fitting a dual shock set up to take into accordance the extra height.

I will be making some for the 2 door surf, front and rear.

The fronts are quite easy if you make you own shock hoops, and I'd probably ditch the anti roll bar, and have a shock either side of the front prop and up to the hoop.

The rear is more fun, probably easier to run them like the MK2 and up pickup, and angle them in at the top, to any sort of bracktery fixed to the tube that run between the chassis.

The bottem I'd fab a bracket that welds or clamps to the axle tube, with fitting for the lower eyes of the shocks.

Big tyres take a lot of damping. 9000 or simular gas shocks will help with the rolling momentum without overly stiff springs as well.

Vatch why didn't you just get a unimog chassis and running gear and put a surf body on it ,,,,,,It would have saved time

Yes and you would still be looking for ways to lift it higher and fit 66" wheels
