forgive the spelling and this may be a dumb ass question but whats the best /easiest way to set up the altimeter in the surf.

it never rain it pours! glad I got the 4X4 -
flat ground maybe for the incline meter but surely you got to set the altimeter according to how high above sea level or summit to do with barometric pressure?

My watch has a barometric altimeter on it so I set it to that.
It's pretty useless though. It takes a pretty big change in pressure to get much movement, whereas my watch knows when I've gone upstairs!Cutting steps in the roof of the worldComment
